I paid £12.80 for a bottle of Stingo at the Lyceum in London, having incautiously ordered it without asking the price beforehand (which I realise is a rash approach to Sam's bottles at the best of times).

Nice stuff, mind you.

But what's the logic of cutting back the beer? (And in point of fact we had a very nice & well-beered mid-range dining experience at a Sam's in Whitby last year, so it can be done.)Philhttp://ohgoodale.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8629758183547510158.post-36465143606271019062018-04-04T20:40:08.493+01:002018-04-04T20:40:08.493+01:00It's not in Milnrow. It's not in Milnrow.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8629758183547510158.post-85765509526984219972018-04-04T16:10:41.806+01:002018-04-04T16:10:41.806+01:00Mr Smith's thinking rarely coincides with othe...Mr Smith's thinking rarely coincides with others so it comes as little surprise that he's got a policy that seems to fly in the face of common sense.
