I really wanted to like it because the brewery is new and local but it just didn't float my boat.

Time will tell if it gets any better.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8629758183547510158.post-38293311123322335932008-07-15T21:03:00.000+01:002008-07-15T21:03:00.000+01:00Not surprising that a brewhouse that new would be ...Not surprising that a brewhouse that new would be pumping out beer that was less than optimal. It's got to be a huge learning experience going from those large commercial plants to a 6 bbl. brewery and he probably couldn't afford to dump his early failures. And a lot of beer drinkers can't tell the difference, frankly.jefffranehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17699992839260757505noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8629758183547510158.post-43073746495566815552008-07-15T10:31:00.000+01:002008-07-15T10:31:00.000+01:00Zak - if I was selling it, I'd have said so too. I had to tell someone recently that I thought he had a big infection problem with his bottled beers - oddly, he agreed with me, but said that people kept ordering the beers regardless.

The whole conversation made me feel as though I had balls of steel for confronting him about it, AND a connoisseurs palate for agreeing with the brewer's opinion of his beers.Zak Averyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10650929798289995172noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8629758183547510158.post-55924624622207439632008-07-14T20:46:00.000+01:002008-07-14T20:46:00.000+01:00My dad says the same thing about his local 'Spoons...My dad says the same thing about his local 'Spoons. I have some sympathy with what you're saying, but the combination of cheap booze (and the clientele that attracts) and wall-to-wall branding offends my senses even in a well run Wetherspoons.Stonchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15927490011165896353noreply@blogger.com
