If people really didn't like the way he runs his company that would stop drinking in his pubs, but they don't and they probably never will.

Sam is taking over the company at the end of 2013 so for anyone who is not a fan of smith senior, they don't have long to wait till he takes a back seat. How much power he will really give up on the other hand is anyone's guess but my gut is telling me not a lot!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8629758183547510158.post-7576355273363044942012-01-29T23:47:33.961+00:002012-01-29T23:47:33.961+00:00It's now made it to the Daily MailIt's now made it to the Daily MailCurmudgeonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02558747878308766840noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8629758183547510158.post-32159529848565509092012-01-07T10:42:58.523+00:002012-01-07T10:42:58.523+00:00Barm - Just as possible.Barm - Just as possible.Tandlemanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06804499573827044693noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8629758183547510158.post-59648753936894314452012-01-06T21:09:56.389+00:002012-01-06T21:09:56.389+00:00The version I heard was that in the course of Guin...The version I heard was that in the course of Guinness trying to convince Humphrey that yes, he would have to pay the new increased price for Guinness and no, there was no room for negotiation, the rep made the fatal mistake of saying "You need Guinness more than Guinness needs you." Whereupon Humphrey put the phone down, called his head brewer and told him to start brewing stout.Rob Sterowskihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07870233673933087794noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8629758183547510158.post-49142665593294802172012-01-06T11:09:50.015+00:002012-01-06T11:09:50.015+00:00PS.
