The best we have had so far is Amstel and I don´t even know if it is brewed here in Spain or elsewhere. Red wine is a fine substitute!
And I´m bittem to death by mozzies and it´s been cold and wet. Manchester doesn´t seem so bad!

Too dull and sweet a lager for me...
Though a Dutch brand( owned by Heineken) It's brewed under license. Amstel bought el Águila Breweries from Madrid some years ago and Heineken do the same with Amstel a couple of years later. Nowadays it's brewed together with Heineken and Cruzcampo in the Breweries of Heineken España, sited in Madrid and Sevilla. Same lager "standars", I'm afraid.
P.S- Sorry about the weather!!! at least you got red wine ( and serrano ham, I presume) to escape from reality...
If there's a God, he hates people from the NW of England - the weather is dreadful! Enjoy a bit of sun you miserable old jock! ;-)
The weather here in North Merseyside is lovely and has been for quite a while now. Last night I had some fine pints of Allgates Scooby Brew (4.2%) in the Guest House at one of our regular music & song sessions.
Gosh, I'm so glad I'm not in Spain. If there's a god, he must love us in the NW.
Agreed-it's al fresco drinking weather here in Bury!
