I know they were at one point certainly.

As others have said, The Three Judges is excellent, as is West - its Franconian style lagers are excellent.

On the cask side, I'm also a fan of The Blackfriars in Merchant City (also usually has good bottles) and The Bon Accord. On the southside, Clockwork has been good in the past, but I've heard reports that it's a bit jaded at the moment.

Glasgow is one of my favourite cities.scissorkickshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16948039070881900877noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8629758183547510158.post-6418026655967215892011-11-14T15:25:26.158+00:002011-11-14T15:25:26.158+00:00It was nice to read the running commentary on Twit...It was nice to read the running commentary on Twitter of your pub crawl and curry with your mum. Disappointed you didn't push on to a nightclub, but hey ho...

I recall quite liking Abbot once upon a time but, as with a few other GK beers, it's so often served in mediocre pubs that don't look after it, I've come to think of it as a bad beer. Must give it another chance somewhere good some time.Baileyhttp://boakandbailey.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8629758183547510158.post-34209353287926043502011-11-14T14:47:22.854+00:002011-11-14T14:47:22.854+00:00Alan - That indeed explains it
