It has often been a case of reduced opening hours - reduced number of customers - reduced cask range - good cask quality. The latter is positive and let's hope it is maintained although the reduced range has often been at the cost of losing guest beers from London independents. I have never seen so much Landlord & Tribute. Visits to the Parcel Yard on the last two Saturdays - max 3 cask beers - I thought a larger rugby crowd might be a cause for one maybe two more but most of that crowd semed to be going for Guinness & big brand lagers. Ho hum.John Crynenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8629758183547510158.post-64492002106517958482022-02-19T07:42:25.859+00:002022-02-19T07:42:25.859+00:00Really pleased you had the same sort of experience...Really pleased you had the same sort of experience I've had in London this last year, Peter, and your suggestion that less beers on the bar is helping is astute.

I also though the Sutton Arms, very old school, had a wonderful welcome and beer. Where has it been ? Has the new Landlord recently moved in.

Glad to hear trade picking up too.retiredmartinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15429804437739227082noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8629758183547510158.post-70695237908853417752022-02-18T12:14:21.409+00:002022-02-18T12:14:21.409+00:00To be fair I do mostly go to GBF pubs or brewery t...To be fair I do mostly go to GBF pubs or brewery tap rooms.
