Proposed Advertising Ban
You can say what you like about an advertising ban on alcohol, but not to have clever stuff like this would be tragic, even if it does advertise some Carlsberg pisswater.
I don't think the ad is remotely amusing, just stupid and irrelevant.
However it does show what happens when you have a ban on alcohol ads. Breweries advertise their alcohol-free products instead and hope the brand will get into people's heads that way.
I don't think this would qualify as it's a sports drink and not alcoholic... funny ad though!
ReplyDeleteAh you are right. Still as it's funny, I'll leave it on.
ReplyDeleteThere's a squirrel playing football advertising the same drink, that's also pretty amusing! Simple things...

Barm. You're a bit of a miserable sod on the side, aren't you?
ReplyDeleteWell, I think it's stupid and irrelevant as well. But it's funny in a stupid and irrelevant way.
ReplyDeleteIt must have taken them ages to train that penguin......
Generally with beer, the better the advert, the worse the product. Castlemaine XXXX adverts were a case in point.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was great. Who gives a rats arse about the product. I'd go drinking with that penguin any day!
ReplyDeleteYou and me both!
ReplyDeleteIronically there seems to be a law that dictates that the more god-awful the beer the funnier the advert. AB tend to excel.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Paul – the pastiche Art Deco ads for Stella Artois recently were beautiful. I still wouldn't wash me dog in it though.
