Yes, thankfully it's still a good beer.
I'm looking forward to trying it fresh when I get over to the UK next year. We get bottles here that have gone through the tropics in a shipping container and are dry, with a massive raisin character. Not bad but I suspect very different to what the beer tastes fresh.
I remember thinking White shield was rather dry and grassy when I first tried it, but when I had a bottle that had been conditioned for a while in our garage it was fabulous.
